Expansion Work

Expansion work includes sessions that focus on ecstasy, and sessions that focus on awakening.

Ecstatic work is not just a physical, it also is a meditation that circulates our erotic energies and empowers the mindfulness of our internal compassionate witness.

It can cultivate a spontaneous, free and playful engagement where we surrender ourselves to the power of the lifeforce within, and let the thoughts produced by our chattering mind pass on by.  Even minor orgasmic rippling through any area of the bodymind has beneficial effects, melting our separateness and aligning us with the energies around us.

Ecstatic work can sometimes move into an awakening experience when the kundalini fountain of fire may burst up and down the sushumna powerfully dissolving of our ego.  This movement is the essence of mystical experience.

Awakening sessions are more like meditation than healing or ecstatic sessions.  Erotic Meditation is a practice that uses sensory awareness for activating mindfulness & presence. In this practice we work to develop the native sensitivity and flexibility of our sense organs.

This new form of tantric practice explores the potent combination of touch and mindfulness meditation. A key intention is strengthening the capacity to rest as the Awareness of All That Is. When we are neither trying to cling to or intensify a pleasurable sensation, nor push away an experience we don’t want, we discover freedom. Cultivating the Internal Observer regardless of what is happening in your environment is one means of expanding awareness and finding deep inner stillness. Shifting your sense of identity from the individual ego to the vastness of the infinite. As we deepen into the internal stillness, we find ourselves embracing Oneness with all of life and possibly experiencing a complete awakening.

Becoming more skillful and conscious with our sensory awareness can enhance all spiritual practices and every aspect of our lives. Some of the immediate effects can include a greater openness in your entire energetic field, more integration of upper and lower chakras,  and a greater sense of neutrality toward events or people who may have triggered a reaction in the past. This leads to a deeper sense of connectedness and the capacity to show up more fully with everyone you come into contact with.

We are not currently offering the group Erotic Meditation retreat. The last retreat was offered by Marlies Cocheret and myself in the S.F. East Bay area several years ago.  Below we describe the basis practice to facilitate exploring this on you own.  We also off coaching sessions online, and individual sessions in person.
