From childhood he was primarily interested in finding Truth.  A Truth that did not change with time or circumstances.  After years of exploring this with the intellect and ruthless self inquiry, he realized that to experience ultimate Truth the mind has to be transcended and Truth directly experienced.  A short time after this realization, he connected with the Master Maharaj Charan Singh Ji and was initiated into the Surat Shabd Yoga or Radha Soami path and started a daily practice of sitting meditation for hours each day.  After 25 years on this traditional yogic path, and a developing a sense of connection with deep stillness, and an inner focus had stabilized, yet there was a sense that there was something more.

In the mid-1990s Lyn began shifting from focusing exclusively on the yogic path of transcendence, and started to also embrace the tantric path of emersion. Here the Divine is realized directly through her manifestation in the mundane. This broaden and deepen the base from which a fuller, more whole consciousness could expand.

In tantra, the bhakti component of his traditional yogi practice blossomed into deep devotion to the Goddess.  Lyn approaches his work as a way to serve the Goddess.  Sessions are offered in the spirit of seva, an offering to the Divine.  Also, tantric shamanic work, in alignment with the instant awakening teachings of Kashmiri Shivism, has been a powerful tool to support a stable connection to Source Consciousness.  Some of Lyn's experiences on the spiritual journey are described in the paper "Spiritual Cross-Training" (on the "Resources" page).

He’s a Certified Tantra Educator through the Source School of Tantra and a graduate of the SkyDancing Tantra Facilitators Training.  Over the years Lyn has experienced many teachers and teachings. Some of the teachers he’s been with that have inform his approach to tantra and spiritual practice include: Daniel Odier (Kashmirian Tantra), David Deida (sexual yoga), Margot Anand (SkyDancing Tantra), Bodhi Avinasha (Ipsalu Tantra), Charles Muir (Source School of Tantra), Richard Miller (Kashmir Shivism), Hal Myers (Standing Wave Yoga), Rod Stryker (Pure Yoga), Mooji (Ramana Maharishi's Self Inquiry), Goenka (Vipassana), Charan Singh (Surat Shabad Yoga), Yogi Bhajan (White Tantra), [Osho (Tantra)], and Richard Moss (Radical Aliveness).  Besides tantra, Hakomi, somatic, humanistic & transpersonal psychology, Breema, urban shamanism, astrology, and the Bach flower remedies are tools that could be used.

Lyn is a member of the Association for Ethnogenetic Practitioners and the American Psychedelic Practitioners Association. Both of these organizations have practice standards and ethical guidelines that members must follow. He also participated in the development of MAPS’s (Multidisciplinary Association of Psychedelic Studies) thorough but basic, evidence-based introduction to using psychedelic substances. See the “Resources” page for a link to this online course. Lyn is also a member of Spiritual Directors International a group that supports and provides for supervision of spiritual coaches.

My work with Lyn helped me to connect with a part of myself that I didn’t know I had.  I feel a new sense of wholeness!!

I was struggling with numbness and Lyn used tantra as the basis for a spiritual approach to reconnecting with my heart.  He sensitively created a safe environment and set clear boundaries and expectations. He taught me techniques that are the foundation for real intimacy. His gentle manner, patience, graciousness, and caring became the first most important steps in my healing.

From our sessions together I have experienced so much progress in becoming aware of the Goddess currents flowing thru my physical and energy bodies.  Lyn has a way of creating a sacred space where there is a sense of being loved, supported and guided by a higher energy.

Lyn is one of those rare men who truly serve the goddess with no self-interest. He is completely trustworthy and has the highest integrity. He lovingly and cleanly held space for me to be able to open my sexual energy again after a long shut-down, and inspired me with his insights and presence. I would whole-heartedly encourage anyone who feels interested in sexual healing to work with him.
